Everyone is Different
A long time ago, there was a donkey in a field. It ate grass, lived its life, and brayed from time to time. Its voice was very bothersome to everyone in the field.
When this donkey brayed for a long time, everyone would cover their ears and immediately put grass in front of it to make it stop.
The donkey, realizing this situation, began to think: "I must make my voice more beautiful."
Just then, a grasshopper jumped in front of the donkey. The grasshopper had such a beautiful voice that the donkey became jealous of it.
He leaned toward the grasshopper: "Brother Grasshopper! I want to chirp like you. Tell me, what should I do for this?"
The Grasshopper was surprised: "I don't know. I have been chirping like this since the day I was born," it replied.
The donkey insisted: "Well, what do you eat and drink? If I eat and drink like you, maybe my voice will become beautiful too," he said.
The Grasshopper replied: "We eat the dew on the flowers."
The donkey was very happy to hear this. From that day on, he drank only the water on the flowers. But the donkey, who thought his voice would improve over time, grew weaker and weaker. His voice also became hoarse.
The donkey, realizing his mistake, said: "Everyone's beauty is different."
From that day on, instead of trying to be like others, he lived happily and peacefully with what he was given.
Everyone's beauty is different.
