Once upon a time, long, long ago, in a forest where the trees were green, the flowers smelled wonderful, and the animals lived in peace, there was a small cabin. Inside this cabin lived an old man, and the old man had a little puppy.

One day, the old man took his puppy hunting. This was the puppy's first time going hunting. The puppy was new to the forest and got lost in its beauty. Sniffing the sweet-smelling flowers and chasing the butterflies, it lost its way!

The puppy was very confused. The old man was nowhere to be seen, and the puppy didn't know the way back home. While thinking sadly, it suddenly saw a Bear walking towards it.

"Oh no, this Bear will eat me now!" the puppy thought.

Suddenly, an idea popped into its head. It quickly turned its back to the Bear and started chewing on some bones that were in front of it.

When the puppy was sure the Bear was close enough to hear, it said: "Mmm! That Bear was so delicious! I wonder if there are any other Bears around? I wish I could find another one to eat!"

When the Bear heard these words, it was terrified and immediately ran away!

The little puppy was happy and said: "I saved myself at the very last moment!"

An Owl was watching everything from a tree. The Owl wanted to cause trouble, so it flew to the Bear and told it the truth. The Bear was very angry about what the Owl told him.

The Bear said to the Owl: "Come on, let's go, and I'll teach that little puppy a lesson!"

When the little puppy saw the Owl coming back with the Bear, it knew that the Owl had told the truth. But the puppy didn't run and hide.

It quickly started chewing on the bones again, turning its back to the approaching Bear and Owl. When they were close, the puppy mumbled loudly:

"Where is that lazy Owl?! I sent him half an hour ago to bring me another Bear, and he is still not here!"

When the Bear heard these words, it roared with anger, hit the Owl with its paw, and ran away!

The foolish Bear was scared of something that wasn't real and hid in its den. The Owl, who enjoyed other people's sadness, paid the price with its life.

The clever puppy, who saved itself using its smart mind, never left its owner's side again. It lived happily ever after with its owner.
